Mele "Kahaualea," (video above). Composed by Kepa Maly in 1982. Performed by Kepa with Hawaii Volcanoes National Park co-workers, Katherine Kekoolani Dambley and Joni-Mae Kuulei Makuakane, with Olomana at fundraising concert to raise awareness about the impacts of the proposed geothermal development in the Puna forest.

In 2007, Kumu Pono Associates LLC relocated to the
island of  Lanai to develop an interpretive-museum program covering the history of the island of Lanai. This work led to the Lanai Culture & Heritage Center, a non-profit charitable organization dedicated to perpetuating knowledge of Lana'i and promoting awareness of the island's unique resources.
